Like many artists focused on visual expression, I have, over the years, found myself drawn to images created by intuition, to dreams and memories -- those recurring themes and archetypes characterized by C. G. Jung as the collective unconscious.

Explaining the world through metaphors and pictures -- images of light, space, and movement-- is fundamental to our modes of cognition. Consciously ordering our daily chaos by processing images, we filter them through to our unconscious, and transform them into a code to be filed away. This then becomes an inner language, a resource for expression, making it possible for us to preserve our connectedness to nature and to engage in social interaction.

Deciphering the universal code of this inner language and translating its vocabulary into images has become the very foundation of my artwork. The process is intuitive, enabling me to capture the moment, infusing the emotion and the thought with meaning.

Executed on canvas or paper, each painting or artwork thus becomes an intimate conversation in brushstrokes and vibrant colors that resonates beyond words.
